About

Matsya-Pranee samavesh Odisha 2026 at state level is being organized to exhibit modern methods of livestock and fish farming as a measure to create mass awareness among the farmers and entrepreneurs of the state to take up modern farming methods in livestock and fisheries sectors.

The exhibition will serve as a platform for participation of many exhibitors highlighting the latest technologies i.e E.C. Farming, SSS AI, Precision Livestock Farming(PLF), RAS Biofloc, fish food, fish seed, other information on schemes, tools and techniques used in fish farming, livestock rearing, and animal health management.

The samavesh will create awareness among fishermen, Livestock farmers, breeders, and other stakeholders about new and innovative approaches to fish farming and Animal Husbandry, to educate the general public about the importance of fisheries, agriculture and animal husbandry in the country's economy and its overall development.

AIMS & OBJECTIVES

The samavesh has a noble goal to create mass awareness and empower farmers across the state with knowledge about scientific farming practices and the adoption of modern technologies in the F&ARD sector. The ultimate objective is to empower farmers to multiply their income through informed and innovative farming practices.

Crucial Participatory Information:

  1. Farmer Participation: We anticipate the active involvement of approximately 6000 farmers and entrepreneurs from every corner of the state. Each block is encouraged to nominate 20 participants (10 from ARD & 10 from Fisheries), ensuring diverse representation. Importantly, we aim for at least 50% of the participants to be women farmers or members of Women Self-Help Groups (WSHG).
  2. Seminars (Panel Discussions): Five insightful seminars will unfold during the event staged by renowed scientists and experts, each accommodating 200 lead farmers and entrepreneurs per session.
  3. Felicitation of Outstanding Contributors of the State: Recognizing excellency at the grassroots, the fair will honor the top three nominated farmers/entrepreneurs in the categories of Dairying, Animal Husbandry, and Fisheries from each Sub-Division of Odisha.
  4. Appreciation of Excellence: Beyond farmers, the fair celebrates administrative prowess. Officers excelling in the posts such as CDVO, ADVO-LP, ADVO-DC, DD-DVH, BVO, AVAS, VAS-MVU, VAS along with para-vets such as VT and LI will be felicitated.

Anticipated Participation: We expect the participation of around 9000 - farmers, entrepreneurs, and Women Self-Help Group (WSHG) members from various corners of the state. This diverse assembly will not only attend the event but actively engage in the exhibitions and participatory activities.
